谈国强，男，博士，教授，博士生导师，陕西科技大学 “材料物理与化学”方向学术带头人，中国硅酸盐学会溶胶-凝胶分会理事、中国硅酸盐学会特种陶瓷分会理事、中国硅酸盐学会陶瓷分会窑炉热工专业委员会委员、陕西省硅酸盐学会理事会理事；以第一作者或通讯作者在Appl Catal B-Environ，ACS Appl. Mater. Interfaces等在国内外重要学术期刊发表论文180余篇，出版专著4部，授权国家发明专利100余项；承担国家自然基金面上项目，陕西省“13115”科技创新工程项目,“十一五”国家科技支撑计划项目等多个项目的研究工作，研究成果先后获省部级及厅局级科技奖励4项，其中陕西省科学技术二等奖、三等奖各1项，陕西高等学校科学技术一等奖、二等奖各1项。
